Le Bamboo Bali

For those of you who have been following me for a while, you know that I love to go on mini-vacation. Living in Bali allows for excursions on a weekly basis, so that’s what we try to do. Yesterday, we headed down to the Bukit, to a villa called Le Bamboo. It’s situated at the cliff above Padang Padang, allowing for amazing views, incredible sunset, and quiet mornings. Instead of writing about the villa, take a look at this tour:

Air Festival Gili

It took me a little while to write this post, as I needed a few days recover from the Air Festival. This year’s edition of the Air Festival was the 3rd one, and it was my second (I went the first year). It’s crazy how this festival has developed since the first year. Three years go, the Air Festival was just a small table on the beach with a mixer and a couple of speakers. Now, it has developed into a full-fledged festival with a…Continue Reading “Gili Air Festival – Techno in Paradise”

Weekend getaway at Le Meridien Hotel, Bali

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love to go exploring in the weekends. This weekend, we headed down to the Bukit, the South part of Bali. We had heard rumours of another secret beach, and we had to go try to find it. And we did! It was a cool little beach, hidden in a cove. The tide was too high when we were there, so it wasn’t really good a place to hangout, but we’ll definitely come back some…Continue Reading “More Secret Beaches and a Stay at Le Meridien, Jimbaran”

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat and the rest of the temples in Siem Reap, Cambodia totally blew our minds!! I’ve been wanting to go for 10 years, but for some reason never made it until now. Even with all that anticipation and excitement, the place totally exceeded my expectations. The temples are mesmerising, and the feeling and atmosphere of being there is truly special. Not to mention that the people of Cambodia are warm, friendly and beautiful. One of the reasons why our trip to Angkor Wat and Siem…Continue Reading “5 Best Tips for visiting Angkor Wat and the Temples of Siem Reap”

Munks in Siem Reap

When you experience a place like Siem Reap, it’s hard to put it all into words. It’s needless to say that the area of Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples is breathtaking. But what also struck me about Cambodia are the beautiful people. Everyone are smiling, welcoming, warm and kind. During our week here, we haven’t encountered a single unfriendly person. If you know a bit about Cambodia, and what this country and these people have been through, you can’t do anything but admire their happiness and…Continue Reading “Faces of Siem Reap, Cambodia | Travel Photography”

Secret beach in Bali

Unfortunately, Bali is getting more and more crowded, as the influx of tourists keep increasing every year. The beaches in Kuta, Seminyak and Canggu are way overcrowded (not to mention dirty), so we usually don’t hangout there too much. The beaches in the south part of Bali, however, are still pretty amazing. Most of them are also getting pretty crowded, but if you go off the beaten track, there are still hidden gems to be found. This weekend, we headed down to Nusa Dua to stay…Continue Reading “Secret Beach in Nusa Dua, Bali”

Jungle Getaway at Wapa di Ume resort in Ubud, Bali

As I’ve mentioned before, we love to explore this island, and to take time off for some “mini-vacations“. This time, we decided to explore the North side of Ubud, and headed up to Wapa di Ume villas. Wapa di Ume is a beautiful resort situated about 5 minutes drive to the North of Ubud centre. From there, we drove around on our scooters, exploring the area. Even after all these years in Bali, it’s crazy how unfamiliar I am with Ubud. Ubud town has become…Continue Reading “Jungle Getaway at Wapa di Ume Villas in Ubud, Bali”
